Xiaomi will let you use AI to build apps for the 18 Pro's rear display

In a shortteaser videoshared on Weibo, Xiaomi revealed that users will be able to create AI-powered apps for specific tasks that will appear on the rear display.

The video showcases several examples, including apps for drinking water reminders, egg cooking timers, recipe recommendations, and learning new English words. Previously, the rear display on theXiaomi 17 Pro serieswas limited to showing select widgets and a set of pre-installed app cards. The Xiaomi 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max are set to debut in China later this month and are rumored to bepoweredby Qualcomm’s yet to be announced Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro chipset.
