A few days ago a rumor claimedXiaomi would be launching the 18 Pro in global markets, unlikeits predecessor. Now, a tipster over on X has revealed that two Xiaomi devices have been certified by the EEC. They have the model numbers 2609BPN61G and 2611FPNFAG and the tipster claims the former could be theXiaomi 18 Pro Maxand the latter theXiaomi 18.
The certification basically confirms that these are launching outside of China. While the Xiaomi 18 getting a global launch isn't a surprise, sinceits predecessordid too, theXiaomi 17 Pro Maxwas only available in China, so its successor getting a wider release is noteworthy. Add to that the earlier rumor about theXiaomi 18 Prolaunching globally too, and this may mean that all three devices will be available outside of China.

That would be quite a change in strategy for Xiaomi, but this year has been very different for most smartphone makers, due to the galloping memory costs, so maybe that has something to do with it.
Anyway, the Xiaomi 18, 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max are expected to be unveiled in September. The Pro models should be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro SoC, while the Xiaomi 18 may get the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 instead.
The Xiaomi 18 Pro has been rumored to get a 200MP main camera and a 200MP telephoto macro camera, both using large sensors, and the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max may inherit the same setup. There will also be upgraded speakers and a larger vibration motor, while the smaller Xiaomi 18 Pro is expected to get a battery with a capacity of at least 7,000 mAh.
