Xiaomi 17T Breaks Cover: First Look at Design and Key Specifications

Anticipation is building around the rumored May launch of the Xiaomi 17T series smartphones. Thanks to an official listing on Brazil’s Anatel certification agency, we now have an exclusive first glimpse at the vanilla Xiaomi 17T model. The listing provides live images revealing the device's rear design and confirming the inclusion of a 67W charger.

The images, initially shared by Technoblog, showcase a design that feels largely familiar, drawing parallels with the Xiaomi 15T, yet with a distinct alteration to its camera module. The rear panel proudly houses a triple-camera setup, with a fourth cutout appearing to be a decorative element. Notably, the prestigious Leica branding is centrally positioned, while the LED flash has been cleverly relocated outside the main camera bump, offering a refreshed aesthetic.

Further inspection of the leaked images confirms the placement of the power and volume buttons on the right-hand side, maintaining consistency with last year's design philosophy. The accompanying 67W fast charger is expected to ship with units sold in Brazil, adhering to local regulations that mandate manufacturers to include power adapters with new smartphones. However, it's highly probable that versions destined for other markets, such as Europe, will continue the trend of shipping without an in-box charger.

Just recently, a Geekbench listing provided crucial insights into the Xiaomi 17T's internal hardware, verifying its adoption of MediaTek’s potent Dimensity 8500 chipset. Complementing this, previous rumors have hinted at a robust camera configuration mirroring its predecessor, featuring a high-resolution 50MP main sensor, a versatile 50MP 2x telephoto lens, and a wide-angle 12MP ultrawide shooter. Powering these features is an expected substantial 6,500mAh battery, further supported by the confirmed 67W wired charging capability, promising rapid power-ups for users on the go.
