If the message is read at 10:10 AM, and the sender selected a 5-minute duration, it will automatically disappear from the recipient's chat at 10:15 AM. Should the message go unread, it follows the 24-hour rule, deleting itself from the recipient's device precisely 24 hours after it was sent (e.g., 10 AM the next day).
