WhatsApp announces Events Home and shareable event invites

WhatsApp Revolutionizes Event Planning with New "Events Home" and External Invites

WhatsApp is significantly upgrading its event creation capabilities, introducing a dedicated **"Events Home"** and the highly anticipated ability to send **shareable event invites** to individuals even without a WhatsApp account. This expansion goes beyond existing 1:1 and group chat event functionalities, making it easier than ever to organize gatherings. Previously, event creation was limited to your WhatsApp contacts. Now, event organizers can simply create an event, add a compelling cover photo, and share a unique link. Crucially, recipients can view all event details and **RSVP without needing to download the app**. This streamlines participation for a broader audience. Privacy remains a core focus with these new features. WhatsApp assures users that their phone number will not be visible to event guests they don't know. Furthermore, non-WhatsApp users invited to an event will only gain access to the precise event address after they have successfully RSVP'd, adding an extra layer of security and control.

Introducing WhatsApp Events Home: Your Centralized Event Hub

At the heart of these updates is **"Events Home,"** designed as a comprehensive, one-stop hub for all your event management needs. This new interface empowers users to:

• Create and dispatch **customized event invites**.
• Efficiently manage and track all **RSVPs**.
• Set personalized **custom reminders** for attendees.
• Allow guests to add a **plus one** directly through the invite.

This central dashboard provides unparalleled control over event logistics, from initial invitation to final attendance tracking. For seamless organization, users can access a complete overview of all their past and upcoming events – including those they've created or been invited to – in one convenient location. Simply navigate to the **Settings > Events** menu within WhatsApp to find your consolidated event history and future plans.

These innovative WhatsApp event enhancements are currently rolling out progressively and are expected to be available to all users globally in the coming weeks, promising a more connected and organized way to manage social gatherings and professional meetups. Source
