If you pre-order the digital version, you can begin pre-loading on November 12, to ensure you can start playing right on the launch day, which isNovember 19. The physical version just contains a download code inside a box, and that will also start working on November 12. So the difference between the two is just the box.
The Ultimate Edition has extra weapons, cars, clothing, and tattoos, which appear in different parts of the story. If you pre-order or buy before November 20, you'll get the Vintage Vice City Pack too, which includes a '55 Vapid Stanier sedan and garage, along with '80s outfits and hairstyles. There's also a weapon skin with pastel colors.
