vivo Expands Teleconverter Compatibility for X300 Series Smartphones
Following the recent debut of its X300 Ultra and X300s smartphones in China, vivo has officially released the compatibility list for its newly redesigned 200mm and 400mm teleconverters. These external lenses, known as the G2 (200mm) and G2 Ultra (400mm), aim to enhance the photographic capabilities of compatible vivo devices.
The vivo Zeiss G2 teleconverter, a key accessory for mobile photography enthusiasts, is designed to offer extended zoom reach. It is confirmed to work seamlessly with the brand-new X300 Ultra and X300s models. Furthermore, the G2 teleconverter extends its usability to several other popular vivo smartphones, including the X300 Pro, X300, and the X200 Ultra, providing a versatile upgrade path for existing users.
Interestingly, the previously released 2.35x teleconverter, which was initially launched alongside the vivo X200 Ultra, has also received an expanded compatibility update. This older teleconverter is now fully functional with the latest X300 Ultra, X300s, X300 Pro, and X300 smartphones, ensuring that more users can leverage its zoom capabilities.
The more powerful G2 Ultra teleconverter, offering a significant 400mm focal length, is currently exclusive to the flagship X300 Ultra. However, vivo has indicated that efforts are underway to broaden its compatibility. The company is actively working to make the G2 Ultra accessible for users of the X300 Pro and X200 Ultra models in the future.
These new G2 and G2 Ultra teleconverters were recently showcased alongside the vivo X300 Ultra at MWC, highlighting vivo's commitment to advancing mobile imaging technology. For an in-depth look at these innovative accessories, explore our hands-on review.
