Vivo S70 Leaks: Periscope Telephoto and 1.5K Display Expected
While the Vivo S60 series made its debut in China earlier this year, whispers are emerging about its successor, the anticipated Vivo S70. A fresh leak suggests this upcoming device will pack a significant punch, particularly in its camera capabilities, with the inclusion of teleconverter support.
Renowned tipster Digital Chat Station has shared insights via Weibo, indicating that the Vivo S70 will boast a cutting-edge 64MP Sony LYT610 periscope telephoto camera. The standout feature here is its support for teleconverters, a technology usually reserved for higher-end devices, promising enhanced zoom performance.
Further details from the leak point towards a generous 6.59-inch AMOLED LTPS display, featuring a sharp 1.5K resolution. Under the hood, the S70 is rumored to be powered by a robust Snapdragon 8s series chipset, with speculation leaning towards the newer Snapdragon 8s Gen 4, ensuring top-tier performance for demanding tasks.
In an interesting aside, Digital Chat Station also revealed that an early engineering sample of the Vivo S70 experimented with a rear display. However, this feature was ultimately decided against for the final production model.
The Vivo S70 is reportedly gearing up for a launch as early as next month, making it one of the most talked-about devices in the near future.
