Asus launched theROG Phone 9and theROG Phone 9 Proin 2024, and has sincedecided to stop releasing new phones. So there has been no ROG Phone 10, and there probably never will be. However, thanks to some leaked firmware, we now know what we could have expected had the ROG Phone 10 and ROG Phone 10 Pro actually launched. Unsurprisingly, both would have been powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, paired with 5G connectivity, UFS 4.0 storage, and LPDDR5X RAM. Wi-Fi 7 was supported too.

The ROG Phone 10 Pro would have had a 50MP main camera using OmniVision’s OV50Q 1/1.3-inch type sensor (the same one used in theXiaomi 17), a 13MP ultrawide using the OmniVision OV13B10 sensor, a 32MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom using Samsung’s ISOCELL JD1 sensor, and a 32MP selfie camera using the OmniVision OV32C sensor. The ROG Phone 10 would have gone with a 50MP main camera using Sony’s IMX766 sensor, the same ultrawide and selfie shooters as the Pro model, and a 5MP macro camera. Undoubtedly, both devices would also have come with a ton of gaming-related features and optimizations, but we will unfortunately never know what any of them would have looked like since the handsets have been canceled.
