The vivo X500 Ultra could get a downgraded main rear sensor

Yesterday, tipster Digital Chat Stationclaimedthat the latest engineering sample of the vivo X500 Ultra featured a new 200MP camera with a 1/1.2-inch sensor. The tipster has now shared details about the upcoming flagship’s main camera. In a new Weibo post, DCSsharedthat the vivo X500 Ultra engineering sample uses a 50MP Sony LYT910 sensor paired with a 35mm lens.

If the rumor is accurate, the 50MP main camera seems like a downgrade on paper from the 200MP 1/1.12-inch sensor on thevivo X300 Ultra. However, the difference in real-world image quality may not be as significant.
