The official Galaxy Z Fold8 and Z Fold Wide names surface online

According to a new report from the notoriousIce Universetipster on Weibo, Samsung is planning to change the naming scheme of its next-generation Galaxy Z foldable lineup. The change is likely due to the new Galaxy Z member, often regarded as "Galaxy Z Fold Wide" across the web.

You've probably already heard about theGalaxy Z Fold Wide- a new Samsung foldable aimed to go against the upcomingiPhone Ultraand a series of other Android foldables with wider aspect ratios. Well, "Galaxy Z Fold Wide" won't be the official name of the device. It will be called "Galaxy Z Fold8." As for the regular Fold, the "Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra" will be the spiritual successor to the Galaxy Z Fold7. As the name andleaksimply, the Z Fold8 Ultra will be a higher-tier foldable compared to the regular, now wider, Galaxy Z Fold8. For instance, the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra is expected to deliver better hardware than the Z Fold7 like bigger 5,000 mAh battery and better triple-camera setup. All three foldables, the Galaxy Z Fold8, Z Fold8 Ultra and Z Flip8 are expected to launch in July, which is the typical time for the second Galaxy Unpacked event each year. Source
