While Apple, Google, and Samsung continue to keep their devices (at most) around the 5,000 mAh mark, Chinese brands are innovating fast based on Silicon Carbon technology. Honor was in factrewarded for just thisat MWC earlier this month, and the brand shows absolutely no signs of stopping.
According to a new rumor out of China, the upcoming Honor X80 GT will come with a 13,080 mAh battery. The 'vanilla', non-GT X80 was previouslyrumored to sport a 10,000 mAh cellinstead, going up to that amount from theX70's 8,300 mAh, which was still definitely commendable in itself.

At this point, Honor seems to only be competing with itself, at least when it comes to mid-range smartphones like these. The recently launchedHonor Winhas a 10,000 mAh battery and theHonor Power 2goes up to 10,080 mAh for bragging rights.
Unfortunately, no other details about the Honor X80 GT are known at the moment. However, do note that the X70 launched last July with a 6.79-inch AMOLED screen with 120Hz refresh rate, the Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 SoC, 8/12GB of RAM, 128/256/512GB of storage, a 50MP main camera with OIS, and an 8MP selfie snapper. We assume the X80 GT will improve upon these specs, but it remains to be seen by how much.
