After AnTuTu, Qualcomm's upcoming flagship Snapdragon chip appears on Geekbench powering an alleged iQOO 16

Qualcomm ishosting its annual Snapdragon Summit next month, from September 22-24 in Hawaii, where it'sexpectedto introduce two new flagship Snapdragon mobile chips. One isrumoredto have part number SM8950, while the other is SM8975. The latter wasspotted on AnTuTuover a week ago and has now appeared on Geekbench as well. An unnamed device bearing model code vivo V2606A - and believed to be the iQOO 16 - has been listed on the Geekbench database with Android 17, 16GB RAM, and SM8975. The SM8975 was previously called the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro, but tipsterDigital Chat Stationrecently claimed it will be called the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6, while the SM8950 will be called the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6. According to Geekbench, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 has eight cores: two cores at a maximum clock speed of 5.01GHz, three cores at 4.03GHz, and the remaining three cores at 3.74GHz. The Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6-powered iQOO 16 scored 3,434 and 9,334 points in Geekbench's single and multi-core tests, respectively. By comparison, theiQOO 15powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5scored3,643 and 10,466 points in our Geekbench test. The iQOO 16 unit that ran Geekbench is probably a prototype, which likely led to a lower Geekbench score. The retail version will likely perform better, and previousrumors claimed the iQOO 16 would launch in September, but we haven't heard anything from the brand yet. Source
