Apple's F1 Ambitions Hit Roadblock in UK & Italy Until 2034

Tech giant Apple, reportedly eyeing Formula 1 broadcasting rights, has faced a significant setback. Recent renewals of existing broadcasting agreements mean Apple will be unable to secure F1 rights in the crucial markets of the United Kingdom and Italy for a considerable period.

Sky, a major player in sports broadcasting, has successfully renewed its contracts for Formula 1 coverage in the UK, Ireland, and Italy. These renewed agreements will keep F1 on Sky's platforms until at least 2034 in the UK and Ireland, and through 2032 in Italy. This effectively removes these key territories from Apple's immediate acquisition possibilities.
