According to a new report, Samsung is going to deliver Scam Detection from the get-go on the upcomingGalaxy Z Fold8,Galaxy Z Flip8, and the"Wide Fold", whatever its actual commercial name ends up being. This was revealed through code inside the latest beta version of the Phone by Google app, which suggests the Gemini-powered feature is expanding to Samsung's next-gen foldables. Currently, Scam Detection only works in the US, but Samsung may be looking to expand its geographical footprint too.

The mentions of the upcoming foldables inside the code in the Phone by Google app include a few different models expected to launch in different places, hence this bit of speculation - we are of course hoping this useful feature won't be confined to the US for much longer. Google already supports the feature in multiple countries on itsPixel 9andPixel 10devices, so it stands to reason that Samsung would want to do the same. Samsung is expected to be launching the next generation of foldable smartphones in July at a dedicated Unpacked event. Source
