Samsung has launched a new Android app that can work with itsGalaxy Buds4 Proto temporarily rid you of motion sickness. The idea comes from a Japanese study performed at the University of Nagoya, where researchers found that listening to a 100Hz sine wave at 75-85dB for several minutes can temporarily alleviate motion sickness by improving balance. This is exactly what Samsung's Hearapy app does. You candownload it from the Play Store, and while the company says you should use it with itsGalaxy Buds4 Pro, there's no stopping you from trying to use it with other earbuds too - or even headphones. Of course, your mileage may vary depending on what you're listening through. Samsung Hearapy app

The app plays a precise 100Hz sine wave that should stimulate the balance system in your inner ear, just as described by the aforementioned Japanese researchers. Listening to it for a minute can temporarily rid you of motion sickness for up to two hours. You need to turn the volume up to a point where it's loud but not uncomfortably so. Obviously, you can repeat listening to the tone as needed. Via
