Samsung Updates Smartwatch Feature Set in the US

Samsung is making a notable change to its smartwatch offerings in the United States, removing the Vascular Load feature. This modification is slated to take effect with the rollout of Samsung Health version 7.0 and One UI 9 Watch, expected in late July.

The upcoming Galaxy Watch9 and Galaxy Watch Ultra 2, rumored for an unveiling on July 22, will reportedly feature One UI 9 Watch pre-installed. Existing Galaxy Watch models will gradually receive the update.

Following the deactivation of Vascular Load, associated data will no longer be visible within Samsung Health. However, users will retain the ability to download their historical data by navigating to More options > Settings > Download personal data.

In place of Vascular Load, Samsung is introducing a new functionality dubbed Blood pressure trend. This feature is confirmed to be available on "the upcoming Galaxy Watch." Blood pressure trend will offer periodic monitoring to display your blood pressure patterns over time and provide guidance for maintaining healthy habits. Initial setup of this feature will require a blood pressure cuff for calibration.
