Samsung releases the first One UI 9 beta based on Android 17

Yesterday,Samsung announced the rollout of the One UI 9 betaprogram, andtoday it's added some more details. Meanwhile, the first One UI 9 beta build is now available for theGalaxy S26,S26+, andS26 Ultrain Germany and the UK. It comes in the form of version S94xBXXU2ZZEF, where the "x" is different depending on the exact phone you have. The build brings with it the May 2026 security patch level, a more customizable Quick Panel, new features in Samsung Notes, support for custom profile cards in Samsung Contacts, and automatic flagging of high-risk apps. To take part in the beta testing process, head on over to the Samsung Members app and tap on the banner. Note that this build is currently only rolling out in Germany and the UK, but should also be available in the US and Korea very soon.
