Samsung's mobile division might see its first quarterly loss ever

This might be surprising for some given thestrong Galaxy S26 series performance, but if you've been following the memory chip prices lately, that probably doesn't come as a surprise. The analysts believe that the rising memory chip prices are eating away at Samsung's profits. Interestingly enough, even duringSamsung's Note7battery crisis, the mobile arm reported a modest $73 million profit. Market analysis shows that RAM chip cost for an $800 phone has risen from 14% to 23%, while NAND flash storage now accounts for 15% of the phone's production cost. Source
