Samsung Prepares One UI 9 for Key Galaxy A Series Devices

Samsung is accelerating its One UI 9 development, the latest iteration of its custom Android interface. Following the initial beta releases for the Galaxy S26 series and earlier testing for the Galaxy S25 lineup and anticipated Galaxy S26 FE, the company is now reportedly testing One UI 9 for three popular Galaxy A series smartphones: the Galaxy A17 5G, Galaxy A34, and the unreleased Galaxy A57.

Internal firmware builds confirm this expansion of One UI 9 testing. The Galaxy A17 5G is seen with build version A176BXXU5DZF1. Meanwhile, the Galaxy A34 is being tested with A346BXXUFGZF1, and the Galaxy A57 carries the build number A576BXXU3BZF3.

While the exact timeline for public beta releases remains unconfirmed, it's anticipated that Samsung will roll out One UI 9 beta updates for these Galaxy A devices in the coming weeks. This suggests a broader strategy to bring the latest software experience to a wider range of Samsung's smartphone portfolio.

Looking ahead, Samsung has previously indicated that its next-generation folding smartphones will be the first to ship with One UI 9 pre-installed. Industry speculation points to the unveiling of three new foldable devices this year: the Galaxy Z Flip8, Galaxy Z Fold8, and Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra. Reports suggest an official debut event scheduled for July 22 in London.
