After an extended period of refinement through its beta program, Samsung is now officially rolling out the One UI 8.5 update to a vast range of its flagship devices. Commencing today, users across the globe will begin to receive this significant software upgrade, enhancing their mobile experience.
This major update targets several popular Samsung lineups, including the entire Galaxy S25 series and the Galaxy S24 family. Foldable enthusiasts can also rejoice, as the update extends to the Galaxy Z Fold7, Galaxy Z Flip7, Galaxy Z Fold6, and Galaxy Z Flip6. Tablet users aren't left behind either, with the Galaxy Tab S11 line and Galaxy Tab S10 models also slated to receive One UI 8.5.
The initial deployment of One UI 8.5 begins in Korea. Samsung plans a systematic global rollout in the subsequent days and weeks, meticulously monitoring for any potential issues to ensure a smooth transition for all users. This stable release follows an intensive beta testing phase, which has been active on various high-end Samsung devices since December, allowing for crucial feedback and optimizations.
While the latest Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra were launched with One UI 8.5 pre-installed, this current expansion brings Samsung's most current and refined Android skin to an even wider audience. Users of the eligible devices are encouraged to keep an eye on their notification trays and check their device settings for the awaited update.
