While Samsung already discontinued itsGalaxy Z TriFoldacrossmultiplemarkets, we’ve been hearing about itssuccessor, which is expected to arrive sometime next year. While we wait for more details on that, a new patent discovered byDavid from xleaks7showcases a Galaxy Z TriFold-like device with an interesting addition.
Samsung Galaxy trifold patent for integrated S Pen.
Samsung wants to integrate a dedicated space inside the trifold device, which would house an S Pen. According to the patent description, the stylus would be held in place via magnets and charged when stored, similar to how it works on theGalaxy S26 Ultra. To make that work on the trifold form factor, Samsung would also have to make the left portion of the folding screen narrower, which would make the whole device look a bit off-center.

With this being a patent, there’s no guarantee that this exact design will ever see a commercial rollout, but it does show that Samsung is thinking about ways to bring stylus support to future trifolds.

A previousrumorsuggests that Samsung wants to make the Z TriFold 2 thinner and lighter than the original, so it sounds like that would make it even harder for that device to have space for an S Pen.
