Samsung Galaxy S26 FE Price: Fans Demand a Significant Drop
The verdict is in: the current pricing of the Samsung Galaxy S26 FE is a major hurdle for consumers. Our recent poll clearly indicates that without a substantial price reduction, the S26 FE is struggling to gain traction with potential buyers.
Many commenters expressed fond memories of the Galaxy S20 FE, highlighting it as a standout "Fan Edition" model. Its enduring popularity was such that it even saw a re-release years later. It seems unlikely the S26 FE will achieve similar long-term acclaim at its current price point.
The perceived downgrades from the S25 FE, coupled with a price increase, have been met with disappointment. A retail price of $700 / £700 / €800 for a device featuring a USB 2.0 port is particularly irksome. Furthermore, the absence of premium features like DeX, which relies on video out via USB-C, further diminishes its appeal as a true "premium Galaxy S" offering.
Beyond these omissions, the S26 FE offers limited compelling upgrades over its predecessor. The Exynos 2500 chipset stands as the primary advancement. However, diligent shoppers can often find the Galaxy S26+ at a comparable price, offering more cutting-edge features like the Exynos 2600 (in Europe and India) or the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy (in North America).
The Samsung Galaxy S26 FE is currently under review to further assess its value proposition.
