Samsung Galaxy A25: One UI 9 Development Underway

While the Samsung Galaxy A25 recently received its stable Android 16-based One UI 8.5 update, the company has already begun internal development for its next major software iteration. Evidence suggests that One UI 9 is currently in testing for the popular A-series device.

A firmware build for the Galaxy A25, identified as A256BXXUCFZF1, has been spotted on Samsung's servers, indicating active development of the Android 17-powered One UI 9. However, users shouldn't anticipate an imminent public beta release for the Galaxy A25.

Currently, the One UI 9 beta program is exclusive to the Samsung Galaxy S26 series. Furthermore, Samsung has previously indicated that its upcoming foldable devices, including the Galaxy Z Flip8, Galaxy Z Fold8, and Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, will be the first to launch with One UI 9 pre-installed.

These new foldable smartphones are rumored to be unveiled at a Samsung event scheduled for July 22 in London.
