Xiaomi's popular sub-brand, Redmi, is gearing up to introduce its latest Note 17 series to the Indian market. Following a recent debut in China, the Redmi Note 17 and Redmi Note 17 Pro are expected to land in India next month, with specific launch and sale dates now surfacing.

A recent leak suggests that the Redmi Note 17 will officially launch in India on August 6th, with the first opportunity to purchase it scheduled for August 11th.

While official specifications for the Indian variant are yet to be confirmed, the leaked details paint an exciting picture. The Indian Redmi Note 17 is rumored to feature a vibrant OLED display, a high-resolution 50MP main camera, and an 8MP front-facing camera. Powering the device will be a substantial 8,000 mAh battery, matching the capacity of its Chinese counterpart. It runs on Android 16 with HyperOS 3 on top and includes an in-display fingerprint scanner for security. Charging capabilities are also noteworthy, with support for 45W wired charging and 22.5W reverse wired charging.
