Poco F9 Ultra EPREL Leak: Enhanced Battery Life Meets Compromised Durability

The highly anticipated Poco F9 Ultra, set to launch alongside its Pro variant tomorrow, has surfaced on the EPREL database. While the full details remain under wraps and inaccessible to the public, a leaked energy label reveals key insights into the device's battery performance and, surprisingly, its durability.

Energy Efficiency and Battery Endurance Boosted

The Poco F9 Ultra scores an impressive 'A' for energy efficiency. Crucially, it promises a significant leap in battery endurance compared to its predecessor, the Poco F8 Ultra. The leaked label indicates an official battery life of 80 hours and 44 minutes, a substantial increase from the F8 Ultra's 67 hours. The battery itself is rated for 1,000 charge cycles, maintaining parity with the previous generation.

Durability Takes a Hit: C Grade for Drop Resistance

However, the Poco F9 Ultra appears to have made a trade-off in terms of ruggedness. The leaked information shows a 'C' rating for drop resistance, a notable downgrade from the 'A' rating achieved by the 2025 Poco F8 Ultra. While ingress protection remains consistent with an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance, and repairability also receives a 'C' mark, the reduced drop resistance is a point of concern for users prioritizing physical resilience.

Battery Capacity and Processor Powerhouse

Further leaks suggest that the Poco F9 Ultra will feature a larger 8,050mAh battery, an upgrade from the 6,500mAh unit in the Poco F8 Ultra. This capacity is still less than the 9,070mAh battery found in the Redmi K100 Pro Max, which is rumored to be the F9 Ultra's base. Under the hood, Poco has confirmed that the F9 Ultra will be powered by the formidable Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. In contrast, the Poco F9 Pro will utilize the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 V-series, accompanied by a leaked 6,330mAh battery.

Full details and official specifications will be unveiled tomorrow. Stay tuned for the complete reveal.
