Google is rolling out its latest software refresh for Pixel devices, arriving with the May 2026 build. This update focuses on enhancing stability and resolving a range of user-reported issues, rather than introducing new functionalities.

The rollout targets a broad spectrum of Pixel hardware, including the Pixel 7a and newer models, alongside the Pixel Tablet. The update's build number is CP1A.260505.005, and it importantly incorporates the latest May Android security patch for enhanced device protection.

According to the official release notes, this update tackles several common pain points. A notable fix addresses sluggish wireless charging performance that specifically occurred when the device's battery was between 75% and 80% capacity. Furthermore, an irritating bug causing the camera app to freeze during video recording or while adjusting zoom levels has been resolved.

Users experiencing visual anomalies will be pleased to hear that the update resolves a flickering white dot or general visual noise that could appear on the display. Issues with fuzzy or unresponsive screens have also been put to rest. In addition, a problematic bug that caused the on-screen keyboard to freeze or display incorrectly has been successfully patched.
