Oppo confirmed last September that it was working on a new form-factor imaging product line for release in 2026, and earlier this year Digital Chat Station said the project was internally known as Fuyao - a pocket gimbal camera meant to take onDJI's Osmo Pocketline. Today, the tipster says Fuyao should be arriving soon, and that there's high confidence about the product's success inside the company.
In the replies, DCS adds that Oppo has lately been doing competitor analysis and that a launch doesn't feel too far off. The increasingly crowded pocket-gimbal space now also includesInsta360's Luna ProandLuna Ultra, whilevivo has been cooking its own Osmo Pocket rivaltoo.

According to past rumors, both Oppo and vivo were looking at a200MP camera using a 1/1.12-inch type sensor, with Oppo possibly bringing Hasselblad co-branding and smartphone interconnection so captures land straight on your phone for editing and sharing.
DCS also sketched Oppo's 2027 phone strategy as more focused on wide form factors, with AI and those wider designs supposedly where the new ideas will show up. Asked about the brand'swide foldable, he replied that its design is almost finished. Unfortunately, he also just revealed that theFind X10 Ultra is currently on holdand may not be coming out at all.
