Oppo F35 and F35 Pro Series Unveiled: Powering India with Massive 8000mAh Batteries and 50MP Selfie Cameras
Oppo has officially launched its highly anticipated F35 series in India, introducing the Oppo F35 and Oppo F35 Pro. Building upon the legacy of their F33 predecessors, these new smartphones arrive with significant upgrades, most notably a substantial increase in battery capacity, making them heavier but also more enduring. The F35 Pro elevates the user experience further with an expanded display, an additional camera lens, and enhanced processing power, while the standard F35 now boasts an impressive selfie camera on par with its Pro sibling.
Oppo F35 Pro: Flagship Features in a Mid-Range Powerhouse
The Oppo F35 Pro sets a new standard with its expansive 6.78-inch OLED display. This vibrant panel offers a sharp 1,272 x 2,772px resolution and an ultra-smooth 144Hz refresh rate, ensuring an immersive visual experience. Designed for media enthusiasts and gamers, it delivers 10-bit colors with 100% DCI-P3 color space coverage, peaking at an impressive 1,800 nits brightness in HBM mode. Durability is also a focus, with AGC DT-Star D+ glass protection and an integrated under-display fingerprint reader for secure, convenient access.
A standout feature of the Oppo F35 Pro is its colossal 8,000mAh battery, a significant 1,000mAh leap from the F33 series. This massive power cell supports blazing-fast 80W SuperVOOC wired charging, complemented by 55W USB PPS and 44W UFCS protocols, ensuring you spend less time tethered to an outlet.
Under the hood, the Oppo F35 Pro is driven by the powerful MediaTek Dimensity 7360 MAX chipset. This 4nm (TSMC N4) processor, a variation of the Dimensity 7300, features an octa-core CPU configuration with 4x A78 cores clocked at 2.5GHz and 4x A55 cores at 2.0GHz, paired with a Mali-G615 GPU. Users can choose between 6GB or 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 128GB or 256GB of faster UFS 3.1 storage, offering superior performance compared to the F33 Pro's UFS 2.2.
Photography on the F35 Pro receives a major boost. It introduces an 8MP ultra-wide camera with an f/2.2 116° lens, enhancing versatility. The main camera remains a stellar 50MP sensor with an OIS-enabled f/1.8 lens. The front-facing camera is particularly noteworthy: a high-resolution 50MP sensor with an ultra-wide 100° f/2.0 lens and autofocus. Both front and rear cameras are capable of recording stunning 4K @ 30fps video, and a dual-view recording mode allows for creative capture, a significant upgrade from the F33 generation's 1080p @ 60fps limit.
Oppo F35: The Vanilla Model Gets a Significant Upgrade
The Oppo F35 maintains a comfortable 6.57-inch OLED display, featuring a 1,080 x 2,372px resolution and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. It delivers vibrant 10-bit colors with 100% sRGB and DCI-P3 coverage, reaching a peak brightness of 1,400 nits in HBM mode. Protection comes from Crystal Guard glass, and like its Pro counterpart, it includes an under-display fingerprint reader.
Despite retaining a smaller screen size, the Oppo F35 also benefits from the impressive 8,000mAh battery, offering the same 1,000mAh increase over the F33. It supports rapid 80W SuperVOOC and UFCS charging, alongside 55W USB PPS, ensuring excellent battery life and quick top-ups.
The standard F35 now features a powerful 50MP selfie camera with an ultra-wide 100° lens and autofocus, though it utilizes an f/2.1 aperture compared to the Pro's. This is a substantial upgrade from the F33's 16MP selfie sensor. On the rear, it houses a 50MP main camera with an f/1.9 lens (without OIS) and is accompanied by a 2MP depth sensor. Out of the box, it records 1080p @ 60fps, with Oppo promising a future update to enable 2.5K @ 30fps video recording.
Powering the F35 is the MediaTek Dimensity 6360 MAX chipset, carried over from both F33 series models. It's configured with 6GB or 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage, offering reliable performance for daily tasks.
Shared Innovations: Durability and Design
Both the Oppo F35 and F35 Pro inherit a notable durability feature from their predecessors: an IP69 water resistance rating, providing protection against hot water jets. This robust design ensures peace of mind in various environments.
The Oppo F35 Pro is available in stunning color options including Sunrise Orange, Wave Blue, and Twilight Brown, offering distinct aesthetic choices.
The Oppo F35 offers its own vibrant palette with Wave Blue, Mist Pink, and Titanium Grey variants, allowing users to express their personal style.
