OnePlus Ace 7 Series: Google Confirms Names, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Powering Both

The upcoming OnePlus Ace 7 and its sibling, the OnePlus Ace 7 Pro, have had their official names confirmed thanks to Google's Supported Devices list. This revelation comes shortly after specifications for the Ace 7 were leaked, offering a glimpse into OnePlus's next flagship contenders.

Google's database lists the OnePlus Ace 7 with the model number PYF110 and the Ace 7 Pro with the model number PMS110. Both devices have been making appearances on Geekbench 7, showcasing their performance capabilities powered by the formidable Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. The Ace 7 has achieved scores of up to 2,986 in single-core and 10,477 in multi-core tests. Meanwhile, the Ace 7 Pro has demonstrated slightly higher single-core performance with up to 3,112, while its multi-core score reached 10,451.

While the benchmark scores are remarkably close, suggesting the core processing power is identical, the key differentiators between the two models remain a subject of speculation. One notable rumored feature for the Ace 7 is an active cooling fan, as suggested by a recent leak detailing a dual-airflow system designed to expel heat effectively through the device's sides. It's plausible that this advanced cooling solution might be exclusive to the Pro variant, though this remains unconfirmed.

Previous rumors paint an impressive picture for the entire Ace 7 series. Expect a vibrant 6.78-inch 1.5K OLED display boasting an ultra-smooth 185Hz refresh rate. Storage configurations are expected to reach up to a massive 1TB, complemented by up to 16GB of RAM. Camera enthusiasts will be pleased with a high-resolution 200MP main camera, a 50MP secondary rear camera, and a 16MP front-facing camera. Powering these features is rumored to be a substantial 9,000 mAh battery.
