Followingan initial announcementin September, Motorola has been teasing theSignature 27for a while now, having alreadyconfirmed Bang & Olufsen audioandshown it off in a hands-on promo video. Today, the successor to theoriginal Signatureis finally fully official, and the battery size is no longer a mystery: it's 7,000 mAh, which is 35% larger than the predecessor's.
The Signature 27 comes with a 6.78-inch 1.5K "Extreme AMOLED Duo" screen, which uses a tandem panel with two emissive layers, along with a 120Hz refresh rate and 12,000 nits of peak brightness (at 1% average pixel level, of course). Motorola says the panel is up to 34% more energy efficient and lasts up to 121% longer than the original Signature's regular AMOLED.

The Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chipset is at the helm, with 12GB or 16GB of RAM and 256GB or 512GB of storage. It's cooled by what Motorola calls ArcticMesh, which pairs a thermal gel infused with micro-diamonds with an 8,384 mm² vapor chamber that's 40% larger than the predecessor's.
On the back you get a 50MP main camera with Sony's Lytia 910 sensor, LOFIC technology, an f/1.6 aperture, and OIS, a 200MP periscope telephoto with 3x optical zoom and up to 100x "Super Zoom Pro", and a 50MP ultrawide with autofocus and a 122-degree field of view.
There's also what Motorola says is the first dedicated EVS (Event Vision Sensor) action sensor on a smartphone. It detects pixel-level changes in light intensity, separately from the other cameras, and works with the Action Shot feature to freeze fast-moving subjects. The rear cameras can record 8K video at 30fps and 4K at up to 120fps with Dolby Vision, and the 50MP selfie camera has autofocus and 4K recording.
