75% of Americans prefer texting their mothers over calling, carrier data reveals

To celebrate Mother's Day, today AT&T has published some interesting data revealing that Americans are texting their mothers three times more than calling them for Mother's Day.

In fact, 75% of Americans prefer texting over calling. They send their mothers three texts for every one call. Houston, San Antonio, and Chicago show moms the most love - they are the top three cities for texting and calling mothers in 2024 and 2025.

If you're wondering which of them is number one, it's Houston, with almost three million more texts and calls than any other city. Six out of the top 10 cities that "connect with mom" are in the South, AT&T's data says. Source
