Lava announced a partnership with Flipkart last week for its new Virat smartphone series and said the Virat V1would launch in India on July 21. Well, the launch has been rescheduled to July 24, and Lava has announced it will unveil the Virat V1 and Virat V1 5G as the first smartphones in the Virat series next Friday.
Additionally, Lava and Flipkart revealed the specs of both Virat series smartphones.
The Lava Virat V1 5G will be powered by the Unisoc T8200 SoC, have 4GB RAM and 64GB of onboard storage, and run Android 16 out of the box without ads or bloatware. It will feature a 6.75" HD+ 120Hz display and pack a 6,000 mAh battery.

The Lava Virat V1 will have Unisoc's SC9863A at the helm with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. However, unlike the V1 5G, the V1 will run Android 15 Go Edition out of the box. But on the upside, it won't have ads or bloatware.
The V1's screen size and resolution will be the same as the V1 5G's; however, it's unclear if the panel will support a 120Hz refresh rate, as it's neither mentioned in the press release we received from Lava nor advertised on Flipkart's promo page.
The Virat V1 will also have two color options -Nilgiri Blue and Himalayan Silver.
