Karbonn Re-enters Indian Market with Feature-Packed Rebel & Rebel Pro Smartphones
The Indian smartphone landscape welcomes back a familiar name, as Karbonn officially re-establishes its presence with the launch of the new Rebel series. This comeback is marked by two new 4G-enabled devices, the Karbonn Rebel and the Karbonn Rebel Pro, set to be available online in India from November 4th.
Karbonn Rebel: Power and Display
The Karbonn Rebel is equipped with the MediaTek Helio G81 chipset, promising capable performance for everyday tasks. It sports a generous 6.75-inch LCD display with a smooth 90Hz refresh rate, enhancing the visual experience for browsing and media consumption.
On the rear, the Rebel boasts a prominent horizontal camera module. While Karbonn has confirmed a 50MP main rear camera, the other two visible cutouts appear to be for aesthetic purposes. Information regarding the front-facing camera is not yet detailed, but its presence is confirmed.
Powering the device is a substantial 7,000mAh battery, supported by 18W wired charging. The smartphone runs on Android 16 and is guaranteed two years of both OS and security updates. Additional features include a convenient 3.5mm headphone jack, a USB Type-C port, and an IP64 rating for basic splash and dust resistance.
Karbonn Rebel Pro: Enhanced Performance and Camera
The Karbonn Rebel Pro also leverages the MediaTek Helio G81 chipset, but elevates the display experience with a slightly smaller 6.7-inch LCD boasting a faster 120Hz refresh rate for even smoother scrolling and gaming.
At the back, the Rebel Pro features a distinct vertically aligned camera module. Karbonn confirms a 64MP primary rear camera for sharper, more detailed shots. For selfies and video calls, it includes a 16MP front-facing camera.
The Rebel Pro comes with a 6,000mAh battery, which supports faster 20W wired charging. Like its sibling, it runs on stock Android 16 and receives a commitment of two years for OS and security updates. The device also features an IP64 rating, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C port.
