iQOO Pad Pro: A New Gaming Tablet Arrives with Subtle Upgrades

Prepare for another exciting entry in the iQOO tablet lineup! Following the unveiling of the iQOO Pad Ultra, iQOO is set to launch the iQOO Pad Pro, a new 8.8-inch gaming tablet that promises a refined yet familiar experience. While sharing many impressive features with its Ultra sibling, the Pad Pro introduces a few key distinctions that aim to offer a compelling option for mobile gamers.

Shared Strengths: Performance and Design Excellence

The iQOO Pad Pro inherits some of the most celebrated aspects of the iQOO Pad Ultra. Both devices boast an incredibly smooth 8.8-inch 165Hz OLED display, ensuring fluid visuals for intense gaming sessions. The slim and lightweight design is also a shared highlight, with the Pad Pro maintaining an impressive 298g weight and a svelte 5.74mm thickness. Powering your marathon gaming adventures is a robust 9,020 mAh battery, providing ample endurance.

Advanced Cooling for Uninterrupted Play

iQOO understands that gaming performance hinges on effective thermal management. The Pad Pro features the same advanced Ice Dome cooling system found in the Ultra. This includes a substantial 30x30x3.5mm active fan, a massive 23,253mm² total heat dissipation area, and three intelligent fan speeds to ensure optimal temperatures even during the most demanding gameplay.

The Key Difference: Chipset Variations

The primary divergence between the iQOO Pad Pro and the Pad Ultra is expected to lie in their chipsets. While the Pad Ultra is powered by the cutting-edge Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 and iQOO's Q4 gaming chip, the Pad Pro is rumored to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, paired with iQOO's Q3 gaming chip. This strategic choice likely aims to strike a balance, maintaining exceptional gaming capabilities while potentially offering a more accessible price point.

Availability and Release

The iQOO Pad Pro is slated for release later this month, arriving alongside the iQOO Neo12. Reservations are already open in China, signaling strong anticipation for this new gaming-focused tablet. Source
