iPhone Duo could be very hard to buy this year, analyst thinks

Pu now thinks only 6 million iPhone Duo units will be produced in 2026, down from a 7 million previous estimate. The reason for this isn't a lack of perceived demand, but constraints relating to the production of the phone's hinge. We have heard many times before that it's a very complex component to make, which may slow production down, and this is basically just another confirmation of that.

To put the 6 million number into perspective, Pu estimates that Apple will sell 72 million units of the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max combined by the end of the year. With this in mind, if you really want to get an iPhone Duo this year, you should probably put in your pre-order the second Apple starts taking them on October 16. Via
