iPhone Duo could be very hard to buy this year, analyst thinks

Pu now thinks only 6 million iPhone Duo units will be produced in 2026, down from a 7 million previous estimate. The reason for this isn't a lack of perceived demand, but constraints relating to the production of the phone's hinge. We have heard many times before that it's a very complex component to make, which may slow production down, and this is basically just another confirmation of that.

To put the 6 million number into perspective, Pu estimates that Apple will sell 72 million units of the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max combined by the end of the year.
