More details about the iPhone 18 Pro's hero color leak

Apple's upcomingiPhone 18 ProandiPhone 18 Pro Maxare expected to have a new 'hero' color - the one that gets marketed the most, like Cosmic Orange was for theiPhone 17 ProandiPhone 17 Pro Max. A few days ago we heard that the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max would come in Light Blue, Dark Cherry, Dark Gray, and Silver, and these colors were then shown on leaked camera islands for the iPhone 18 Pro. Today a leaker from China has shared more information about that Dark Cherry hue, which will be the hero color.

Apparently it's not clear exactly what Apple will call this (so don't take "Dark Cherry" for granted just yet), but it will be a mix of burgundy, coffee, and deep purple. That sounds incredibly intriguing for sure - it feels like this will be a unique hue that hasn't been seen on a smartphone before. That uniqueness is likely to fade away very soon though, as Chinese Android device makers arealready rumored to be copying the new colorwayvery quickly, just as they did with Cosmic Orange after the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max came out.
