Honor Magic8 Pro is now part of the Android 17 beta program

Honor has announced that its flagship smartphone, theMagic8 Pro, has joined the Android 17 beta program and is now eligible to receiveAndroid 17 Beta 3.
In a press release, Honor confirmed that developers can nowdownloadthe Android 17 Beta 3 on the Magic8 Pro to test new features, evaluate app compatibility, and prepare their apps for the upcoming Android release.

Honor also outlined the key features included in Android 17 Beta 3, such as system-wide Bubbles, support for the RAW14 image format, expanded UI customization options, improved system controls, a more comprehensive Dark theme, and enhanced privacy and security features.
Honor noted that the Magic8 Pro must be running software version 10.0.0.162 (C636E4R105P2H2) or later in order to install the Android 17 Beta 3 update.
Google released Android 17 Beta 3 in late March, followed by thefirst QPR1 beta updatelate last month. The stable public release is expected to roll out in September. Google is also expected to share more details about the next version of Android during The Android Show: I/O Edition, which isscheduledto take place later today.
