Ahead of its long-anticipateddebut, Honor held a dedicated event in China where it detailed the cameras inside itsRobot Phone.

As the first device in thepartnershipwith legendary German cinema camera brand Arri, the Robot Phone brings several firsts. These include native Log-C3 video encoding, LUT color grading which is processed on the device and a dedicated Cinema mode which replicates the look and feel of Arri cinema cameras. Honor also revealed that the Robot Phone features over 100 patents.

The star of the show is the 200MP main camera attached to a three-axis gimbal. The main cam features a 1/1.28-inch size sensor with an f/1.6 aperture and utilizes Honor’s in-house developed image signal processor (ISP) – the Yuguang H1.

The Honor Robot Phone also brings a 200MP periscope and a 50MP ultrawide module. Outside of the impressive cameras, the device is expected to pack a 6.3" to 6.4" screen, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip and a 6,000mAh battery. We’ll likely see more details emerge in the days leading up to the Robot Phone’s unveiling on August 12.
