Honor 600 Pro vs. Honor 600: The Poll Results Are In!

When it comes to choosing between the Honor 600 and its more premium sibling, the Honor 600 Pro, price is a major consideration. In Europe, the Pro model commands a 43% premium, while in Malaysia, this difference narrows to a more palatable 27%. The question for consumers has always been: does the Honor 600 Pro justify its higher cost?

Based on our recent poll, the answer appears to be a resounding "yes." While neither device is setting the smartphone world ablaze, and pricing remains a sensitive topic, the data shows a clear preference for the Honor 600 Pro when buyers opt for the Honor 600 series. This trend is even more pronounced when you delve into the specifics.

A significant one-third of voters expressed interest in the Honor 600 Pro. While some are holding out for professional reviews, the underlying appeal of the Pro model is evident. Key differentiators like the superior Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset (compared to the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 in the standard model), a capable 50MP 3.5x telephoto camera, and 50W wireless charging are proving to be compelling arguments.

However, the €1,000 price tag for the Honor 600 Pro is undoubtedly a hurdle. This price point places it in direct competition with established flagships, some of which are available for less. Furthermore, the Honor 600 Pro misses out on some features expected in a top-tier device, such as the absolute latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, an LTPO display, and advanced biometrics like an ultrasonic fingerprint reader.

A quick check of Honor's German website reveals an interesting alternative: the Honor 400 Pro (12GB/512GB) is priced at €550, a notable €150 less than the Honor 600. This older Pro model still packs a punch, featuring a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip – which, while not the newest, significantly outperforms the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4. It also boasts a 50MP 3x telephoto lens, a larger 6.7-inch display, and faster charging capabilities (100W wired, 50W wireless). The 5,300mAh battery is on the smaller side for its class and is 1,100mAh less than the Honor 600's battery.
