Launched in 2023, Helium Mobile set itself apart by operating a hybrid network. While it leveraged T-Mobile's infrastructure like traditional MVNOs, it also cultivated its own decentralized network. This innovative approach involved over 100,000 user-operated mini cell towers strategically deployed across the United States, forming the core of its "people-powered" system.

The company also garnered attention with its now-discontinued free "Zero Plan," a testament to its ambitious early strategy. While cryptocurrency rewards were a notable aspect of its offerings in 2023, the focus is now shifting. Under Noble Mobile's ownership, the Helium Mobile brand will persist, indicating a commitment to its established presence.

Noble Mobile has pledged to continue utilizing the "people-powered" Helium Network, although the long-term commitment remains to be fully detailed. Helium Mobile assures its subscribers that the transition will be seamless, with no anticipated disruptions to coverage. Existing Helium Mobile customers can retain their phone numbers and expect the continuation of the high-quality service they have come to rely on.

The original founders of Helium Mobile are set to pivot their focus towards developing an "intelligent connectivity platform." This new venture aims to leverage the proven success of the Helium Network and make its underlying technology accessible for other carriers and connected services, including Noble Mobile.
