GoPro Mission 1 Series: A New Era of Action Camera Technology

GoPro is pushing the boundaries of action camera innovation with its brand-new Mission 1 series. This exciting lineup introduces significant upgrades, headlined by a groundbreaking 1-inch type sensor, a powerful new GP3 processor, and the revolutionary introduction of interchangeable MFT lens compatibility on select models. The Mission 1 series comprises three distinct models: the Mission 1, the Mission 1 Pro, and the flagship Mission 1 Pro ILS.

Revolutionary Imaging Powerhouse

At the heart of all three Mission 1 models lies a potent new 50MP 1-inch type sensor. This larger sensor is engineered to capture substantially more light, promising enhanced detail and clarity, especially in challenging lighting conditions compared to previous GoPro generations.

Unprecedented Performance with the GP3 Chipset

Driving the impressive capabilities of the Mission 1 series is the cutting-edge 5nm GP3 processor. This new chipset unlocks a suite of advanced video recording features, including stunning 1080p footage at an incredible 960fps, breathtaking 8K resolution at up to 60fps, and versatile 4K recording options such as 120fps Open Gate and a blazing 240fps. The GP3 processor also boasts an integrated, upgraded AI Neural Processing Unit (NPU). This enhancement significantly boosts video processing power and dramatically improves low-light performance, ensuring exceptional results no matter the environment. Powering these advanced features is the new Enduro 2 battery, engineered for extended endurance. GoPro claims over 5 hours of recording at 1080p30 and more than 3 hours at 4K30 on a single charge.

Audio quality receives a significant upgrade with a sophisticated four-microphone array and support for professional-grade 32-bit float recording. Additional advanced features include the latest Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity, High Dynamic Range (HDR) support with HLG, professional 10-bit color depth with GP-Log2, Timecode Sync for seamless multi-camera setups, an impressive bitrate of up to 240Mbps, and the ability to capture high-resolution 50MP still photographs.
