To put this into perspective, this is lighter than the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra, which tips the scales at 214 grams, despite the S26 Ultra not featuring a folding display. This marks a notable shift in design philosophy, emphasizing a more comfortable user experience.

This weight advantage also positions the Fold8 favorably against competitors. For instance, the Huawei Pura X Max, a device with comparable proportions, weighs in at 229 grams. This trend of foldable phones becoming lighter than their flagship counterparts is becoming increasingly evident, echoing the slight discrepancy observed between the Galaxy S25 Ultra (218g) and the Z Fold7 (215g) last year.
