Galaxy S27 Ultra: A Familiar Footprint with a Refreshed Camera
Whispers about Samsung's next-generation flagship, the Galaxy S27 Ultra, continue to surface, and the latest insights suggest a design philosophy focused on refinement rather than radical reinvention. While a recent leaked CAD render hinted at a significant overhaul of the rear camera arrangement, new information from a trusted tipster indicates that the device's overall dimensions will remain remarkably close to its predecessor, the Galaxy S26 Ultra.
According to prominent leaker Ice Universe, the S27 Ultra is set to preserve the established design language of the S26 Ultra. The most notable departure will be the redesigned rear camera module, promising a fresh aesthetic for the device's photography capabilities. Beyond this visual update, expect the S27 Ultra to maintain its familiar form factor. This includes the integrated S Pen slot, strategically placed on the bottom-left side, ensuring the stylus remains readily accessible.
The audio experience is also slated for continuity, with the speaker grille expected to reside in its customary bottom-left position, mirroring the S26 Ultra. However, a distinct design choice is anticipated for the other models in the S27 lineup. The tipster suggests that the Galaxy S27 Pro, standard Galaxy S27, and Galaxy S27+ will feature their speaker grilles repositioned to the right side.
Initial speculation had suggested the possibility of the Galaxy S27 Ultra arriving in multiple sizes. However, Ice Universe has stepped in to clarify these rumors. He asserts that what was previously interpreted as a smaller S27 Ultra variant is, in fact, the anticipated Galaxy S27 Pro. This Pro model, while sharing the S27 Ultra's innovative new camera layout, will differentiate itself by omitting the S Pen functionality.
