Samsung Gears Up for One UI 9: Galaxy S26 FE Spotted in Early Testing
Exciting news for Samsung enthusiasts! The highly anticipated One UI 9 is reportedly undergoing internal testing, with the Galaxy S26 FE being one of the first devices to receive it. A tipster with a strong track record has revealed that the initial firmware build, identified as S741NKSU0AZE5, is currently being evaluated. This development also confirms the Korean variant of the S26 FE will carry the model number SM-S741N.
The presence of One UI 9 testing on the Galaxy S26 FE strongly suggests that this model will ship with the latest version of Samsung's custom Android interface pre-installed. This also provides a clearer timeline for the S26 FE's release, indicating it won't arrive before the Galaxy Z Fold8 and Galaxy Z Flip8. These foldable devices are expected to debut One UI 9 when they are officially announced on July 22nd.
While this revelation might not come as a complete shock, given that the Galaxy S25 FE was launched in September of last year, it serves as valuable indirect confirmation of the S26 FE's development progression and its software trajectory.
Further details, emerging from a Geekbench benchmark in April, suggest that the Galaxy S26 FE will be powered by the next-generation Exynos 2500 SoC, a notable upgrade from the Exynos 2400 found in its predecessor. Memory configurations are expected to include 8GB of RAM, maintaining parity with previous generations.
