For many years now, we’ve been partnered with Binkies 3D to give you access to 3D models of smartphones that you canspin around, zoom in on and explore. But now foldable phones have complicated things a bit.
These phones are designed to be used in two configurations – folded and unfolded. Each has its pros and cons and they differ by the form factor. A flip foldable’s cover display may be just enough to answer a quick text, but it’s not great for general use. Meanwhile, book-style foldables have cover displays that are almost as big as the displays on regular phones and tablet-sized displays inside. And now there are wide foldables too.

The likes of theiPhone DuoandGalaxy Z Fold8will duke it out next month. To help you explore both, Binkies 3D added the option to open and close the virtual foldables as you are viewing them – complete with a sleek animation.
Here’s the iPhone Duo – just hit the close/open button (between the zoom and size button):
And here is its rival, the Z Fold8:
We’ve seen wide and flip foldables, so here is a book-style foldable for the sake of completeness – thePixel 11 Pro Fold.
These are just some examples, Binkies 3D has 3D models for many phones. You can find them in our database – just go to the phone you are interested in, tap Pictures and scroll past the official images and our own photos to find the 3D model viewer.
