Dimensity 9600 leak suggests major single-core gains and class-leading GPU performance

The next wave of flagship Android phones and tablets will, for the most part, use chipsets from either Qualcomm or MediaTek. We’ve already seensomedetailsfor the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6, and we are now getting our first bits of info for the Dimensity 9600. TipsterDigital Chat Stationrevealed that the upcoming flagship SoC from MediaTek will be fabricated on a 2nm process node, without confirming whether it will be TSMC’s N2P or Samsung’s SF2.

Either way, the chip is expected to utilize a 2+3+3 all-big core CPU architecture with a focus on delivering top-notch single-core performance, which is said to rival Apple’s flagship A-series chips. The post did not confirm whether this is the current A19 Pro chip or the next-gen Apple A20. We also don’t get confirmation of the clock speeds.
