It's important to note that this is an Open Beta program, meaning it's a pre-release version of ColorOS 17. Currently, only users in India have the opportunity to apply for this early access. The application period runs from October 9 to October 12, giving participants a day before the official public launch to test the software.

Crucial Advice for Beta Testers: Before proceeding with the installation, it is highly recommended that you back up all your important data. As this is not the final stable build, you may encounter unexpected bugs or issues. While OnePlus provides a rollback package to revert to OxygenOS 16, be aware that this process will inevitably erase all data on your device.

For OnePlus 15 users, this marks a significant transition. Upon the arrival of the final ColorOS 17 build, the device will permanently move away from OxygenOS, signifying the end of an era for this particular model.

Oppo has maintained a degree of mystery surrounding the full capabilities of ColorOS 17. However, teasers hinting at "fluid motion" and "refined visuals" suggest a substantial UI overhaul. Users can anticipate enhanced animations and a visually polished interface, alongside the new features that will be unveiled during the official October 13 launch event.
