Apple's Vision for the Future: Smart Glasses Targeted for WWDC 2027 Debut

The tech world is abuzz with speculation following a new report suggesting Apple is gearing up to reveal its highly anticipated smart glasses in June 2027. This strategic unveiling at Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2027 would provide developers ample opportunity to create a robust app ecosystem before the product's anticipated commercial launch later that same year.

Previously slated for an earlier release, the smart glasses, internally codenamed "N50," reportedly faced a delay. This postponement is attributed to Apple's proactive approach in addressing growing privacy concerns associated with smart eyewear. The extended timeline allows the company to meticulously refine the technology and implement solutions to mitigate potential privacy issues.

Smartwatch Updates on the Horizon: Watch Series 12 and Ultra 4 Incoming

Beyond the groundbreaking smart glasses, Apple is also reportedly focused on its wearable technology. The company is said to be preparing for the debut of the Apple Watch Series 12 and the next-generation Watch Ultra 4 later this year. Prototypes for three new smartwatch models are reportedly in advanced testing phases. These include Wi-Fi-only and LTE variants of the Watch Series 12, codenamed "N237" and "N238" respectively, and the "N240," which is believed to be the Watch Ultra 4.

While significant design overhauls are not expected for the upcoming smartwatches, they are anticipated to feature a potent new chipset. Enhancements in health and fitness tracking capabilities are also a key focus for these new iterations. Furthermore, the report indicates that a new Apple Watch SE model is unlikely to be released in 2026, given the recent launch of the Watch SE 3.
