Apple unveiledtheiPhone 18 ProandiPhone 18 Pro Maxyesterday, and today the company has done something that it really doesn't enjoy doing: publishing actual specs. Thanks to the EU, Apple has to make the phone's Energy Labels public, which it did today. You can see them below. This means we now know what the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max's battery capacities are in the EU. The former gets a 4,056 mAh cell, the latter a 5,391 mAh battery. Thus, the iPhone 18 Pro has a 1.45% larger battery thanits predecessor, while the iPhone 18 Pro Max has an 11.8% bigger cell than theiPhone 17 Pro Max. iPhone 18 Pro (left) and iPhone 18 Pro Max (right) EU Energy Labels

As you can see above, the EU Energy Labels for the new iPhones reveal an A general rating for both, a B rating for drops, a C rating for repairability, and the fact that they are both IP68 certified for dust and water resistance. Their batteries are promised to last for at least 1,000 cycles before the capacity drops below 80%. Unsurprisingly given what we know about their battery capacities, the iPhone 18 Pro Max is rated to last longer on one charge than its smaller sibling. Source 1(PDF) |Source 2(PDF)
